Environmental sustainability is an ongoing challenge we face, with the modern business environment requiring an increased awareness of the environmental impact caused by industry operations.
Achievement of ISO 14001 certification demonstrates our commitment to continual improvement in environmentally responsible business processes and practices.
We have worked on many projects where achievement of environment assessment ratings have been a key requirement for the client. We can work with your team to help in the achievement of your project sustainability goals and are experienced in meeting the criteria required for BREEAM, SKA, LEED & WELL Building Standard accreditations.
Procurement of all materials is monitored throughout the project and all purchases are made with quality, environment and health & safety in mind.
Fully BM Trada certified, all of our timber purchasing has strict guidelines which include the purchasing of only FSC® or PEFC materials.
Waste is designed out at an early stage using our state-of-the-art production technology.
Deliveries are undertaken using our own transport, which enables us to reduce single use packaging. Excess packaging is returned to our facility and re-used.
Our electronic delivery system helps us track the number of vehicles used per job and the length of travel to determine CO2 emissions.
Our factory has its own biomass boiler which enables us to convert waste into renewable energy back to the building.
With an LEV system connected to the biomass, the factory also has an industrial M Class hoover and individual M Class on-tool extraction to increase dust control emissions.
Our facility also features motion sensor LED lighting and we implement a ‘zero waste to landfill’ policy across production.
